I was rewatching some season 3 episodes last night and man... it just hit me how ahead of its time this show actually was.The way they used monsters as metaphors for real high school and college struggles was just genius. Modern streaming shows try way too hard to be edgy or aesthetic for TikTok, but Buffy had actual soul, amazing dialogue, and character arcs that took years to build (Wesley's arc across Buffy and Angel is still unmatched).Also the 90s/early 2000s soundtrack was top tier. Shows back then just felt more cozy and authentic, even when they were fighting vampires lol.Anyone else here still rewatch it? What’s your favorite season? Season 3 and 5 are the best for me no doubt.

Season 3 is definitely peak television, mostly because the drama between Buffy and Angel was unmatched. Modern streaming couples could never achieve that level of angst! I used to stay up late just crying over them, honestly. Though, I have to ask... where do you stand on the ultimate debate? Angel or Spike? Choose wisely!

Oh man, you guys are hitting me right in the nostalgia bone....I absolutely loved Buffy. I was so obsessed back in the day that I actually ran a fansite for the show back in the early 2000s! It was hosted on GeoCities, full of custom wallpaper downloads and midi files of the theme song. Good times.

And @BrookeMcQueen, it really is heartbreaking about Nicholas Brendon. Xander was the ultimate relatable character for every awkward teen back then. Rewatching those episodes now is going to feel so bittersweet.

To answer your question: Team Spike all the way. Angel was great for the high school drama, but Spike's redemption arc was unmatched!
