Tom Holland is set to make at least $100 million from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, featuring a $20 million upfront base salary and massive uncapped backend box-office bonuses as the movie crosses the $2 billion mark globally.

And this is exactly what’s wrong with modern cinema. We are literally judging the quality of a character based on corporate paychecks and Disney's marketing machine. It's tragic. Lol.
Tom Holland is fine, but his movies have zero soul. It’s just green screen, corporate synergy, and Iron Man Jr. tropes. If you want to talk about the definitive Spider-Man, you have to look at Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2. That movie actually had heart. Peter Parker was broke, struggling to pay rent, and dealing with real-life consequences. You could actually feel the stakes.Now it’s just about crossing the $2 billion mark and securing backend bonuses. The art is completely gone. No fat contract is ever going to buy the cultural impact that Tobey’s trilogy had.
